Tony Tasset’s snowman becomes a synecdoche for the beautiful yet harsh snowy-winters of the Midwest. In the same room, the sculptural, cork janus-heads of Huma Bhabha’s “Come Drink With Me” comes to represent the ways in which human figures can be literally scorched–even melt away– through the valorations of the detritus of colonialism, cultural/social chaos, and industrial global production. In this way, boundaries –– between hot and cold, the ocular and the tactile, the real and the experienced, the synthetic and the organic, the artwork and the installation –– merge, swirl, and dissolve. Kevin Sabo and Samuel Richardson, both Virginia-based artists, are exhibiting with TW Fine Art for the first time. Brooklyn-based artist Thomas Delaney will be making his Palm Beach debut with his four-part series of paintings titled, “Let’s Chew Some Gum.”
