TW Fine Art is pleased to announce Hard Rock | Heavy Metal, a solo exhibition featuring work by UK sculptor Beth Cullen Kerridge. As the name suggests, the exhibition showcases a range of works realized in bronze and marble. The sculptures are inspired by the idea of traditional masculine and feminine roles, and the struggle each gender faces within the challenges of societal expectations; be they corporate or domestic.
Beth Cullen Kerridge's sculptural practice is deeply rooted in a profound engagement with materiality, creating works that are both tactile and conceptually charged. Her sculptures often engage with the interplay of natural and industrial materials, where organic forms are juxtaposed with industrial processes, reflecting the tension between the human and the natural world. In Cullen Kerridge's hands, materials are not passive; they become active participants in the conceptual and aesthetic dimensions of the work. The textures, surfaces, and forms of the materials speak to a quiet, meditative process of making, where each element contributes to a larger narrative about the human experience, the passage of time, and our relationship to the world around us.
